In math this week, we continued with our shape unit. In grade 2 we focused on identifying the edges, faces and vertices. In grade 3, we focused on types of line segments, angles and sorting polygons using different sorting rules. We also completed a math assessment on shapes. Each morning we have been working on 'mash ups' or puzzles focusing on using our beginning algebra skills and on Friday this week we worked on clothes line math, putting numbers in order on a number line.
In gym this week, we worked on hitting, setting, and team work through some volleyball types skills with the balloons. The students had a great time keeping the balloons up in the air, using different body parts.
