Week 31 ( May 13 -16)

In Literacy this week, our writing topic was a small Acadian town of Meteghan.  We used our skills on writing questions and similes to write about the landforms of Meteghan and the Earth's changes.  In word work, we learned why you need to double the consent in words when adding -ed and -ing.

In math this week, we began learning about fractions.  This week we reviewed that fractions are equal parts of a whole, what the denominator and numerator are and how to read and say fractions.

In Science and Social Studies, we continued to look and how the Earth's Surface changes.  We talked about fast changes such as volcanos, land slides and floods.  We also talked about human impact and what things humans are doing to drastically change the Earth's surface.  In Social Studies, we learned about the language in Peru and the 4 landforms that make up the country of Peru.

In gym, we took advantage of the nice weather and played some soccer games outside.
