Week 40 (June 16-20)

In Literacy this week, we finished our Duck Diaries with a final entry about the ducklings heading off to the farm. Then we wrote a review and reflection about our field trip to Fish Creek park on Wednesday. We continue to read independently each day, focusing on the skills we learned in our small reading groups. We focused on learning how an analog clock tells time and how it compared to a digital clock. Next, we looked at how to relate seconds to minutes and minutes to hours. We also built our own clocks, learning about how a clock is split in half and then quarters. In Social studies, we continued to look at the culture in Ukraine.
