Week 38 (June 9 -13)

This week in literacy we continued our work on our Duck Diaries.  We added in a diagram and the life cycle of a duck. We also wrote about their experience swimming and doing a "Duck Walk" down the hallway.

In math this week, we learned about the 2 different systems of measurement, the metric and the imperial.  Then we looked at perimeter and how it is measuring the distand around a closed shape.  We build different rectangles with a perimete of 30 tiles.

In Social Studies, we continued looking at culture in Ukraine and the beautiful artwork of Pysanky eggs.  In Science, we looked at plant life cycles and compared them to animal life cycles.
