Week 30 (April 14 - 17th)

In Literacy this week, we finished working on our first narrative story about a dog.  We worked on developing our character and 'hooking' our reader in with a good beginning.  We also responded to a book we read, called 'The bad case of Stripes".  In word work, we looked at the last spelling pattern for the long a sound, aight, like in the word straight.  We also explored the suffix 'er' and created some word sums using 'er'.

In our new math groups, we continued to work on division as 'grouping' and dividing our doggies biscuits into equal groups.

In science, this week we were looking at the impact of erosion and weathing on our Earth.  We created mini landscapes and then added rain and wind to see what happened to our landscapes.

In gym this week, we used the Calgary Climber and 6 other stations through out the gym.  We learned how to move safely, using the 'three in a tree' and BMX grip when climber up the climber.
