Week 33 ( May 5 -8 )

This week in literacy, we began working on elaborating and adding details to our sentences.  This week we focused on our 5 senses and how to use describing words to make our writing more interesting. In word work, we concluded our work with learning all the different spelling combinations.  This week we focused at silent t words. We have also started, The Word of the Day, finding a hidden irregular word that are the most common and what we need to learn in order to spell it.

In our math groups, we finished looking at multiplication and division with a show what you know quiz.

This week was mental health week.  On Wednesday, it was Hat's on for Mental Health.  We read a story about a Sloth learning how to slow down and show empathy towards others.  We designed our own hats with slogans and saying to help us remmeber to look after our mental health.

In gym class this week, we also took care of our mental health and spent most of our gym classes outside.  We warmed up by playing some tag games and then learned how to play Pillow Polo.
